Erin and Joe Ed: Camp Tygart
Monday, January 18, 2010 | Weddings

Erin and Joe Ed met at an Emmaus event, so it was perfect that they decided to be married at Camp Tygart.

I couldn't resist getting a few photos of the chapel - where a special service was held at rehearsal.  I love the rustic nature of Camp Tygart.

Erin's dress was custom made for her by Hayley Lauren Couture.

Her cute shoes were perfect for her dress...

One of my favorite ring shots ever...
It was totally worth the {almost} frostbite on my fingers while getting it!  ha

Did I mention that it was cold??  The wedding was originally scheduled to be outdoors, but Erin made the call to move it indoors due to the fact that we were experiencing the coldest temperatures we have had in south Georgia in 25 years!

The ceremony was held in the conference center, and I snapped this photo of the Cross and Flame emblem at the entrance.

James Bednar of The Seasons (229.605.0077) did a beautiful job with the floral design.

Erin's sisters were on hand to do make-up and help her get ready...

Before we knew it, Joe Ed had arrived and was ready to see his beautiful bride to be.  I grabbed this shot of him right after he said it really wasn't that cold outside - and - just before he said it really WAS cold outside.  ha

The images of the bride and groom seeing each other before the ceremony are always my favorite shots of the day.

I loved that they were up for a few outdoor photos even though it was so cold outside.

Erin and Joe Ed are loved by so many people.  You would think that many guests might have been tempted to stay warm at home on such a chilly day, but a large crowd soon began to arrive.  I love the next shot not only because of the laughter, but there is just so much true personality in the photo.

There were several adorable babies around, and Monroe was ready to get the party started.

So sweet...

It was important to Erin and Joe Ed that their wedding be a worship service as well as a marriage ceremony and that God be praised and thanked for bringing them together.

Communion...

Mr. and Mrs. Holt...

Because they had an early afternoon wedding, Erin chose to have a dessert reception.  Does it get any better than that?  :)  The reception was catered by Covington's.

I hope that none of you blog readers made New Year's resolutions to cut back on the sweets.  If you did - this blog post is going to seriously test your willpower.  So sorry!  lol

The beautiful cakes were made by Sherry's Kitchen (ppersonette@mchsi.com).

It was truly an honor to be a part of your wedding day.  I love all of my clients, but it is always special to photograph a wedding for people I have known forever and with such sweet connections to me and my family.  Best wishes to you Erin and Joe Ed for a lifetime of love and happiness!

I am trying out a new slideshow feature that my lab is now offering...
