Happy Birthday to Me!
Sunday, August 10, 2008 | Random

NOTE: The images below are personal photos taken with my point and shoot camera.  If you are here to see portfolio work - please choose from the categories menu above.

We spent this weekend down at the river and just got home about an hour ago.  We had a great time, and I am officially one year older today!  Thanks for all of the birthday wishes from my friends and clients that were waiting for me in email and on facebook!

Saturday morning we tried to beat the heat and headed out early to go scalloping - which is so much fun!  It's just a short trip down the river before you are out in the Gulf of Mexico.

I was finally able to try out my new mask and snorkle which I desperately needed.  There is nothing worse than being stuck out in an ocean with a leaky mask.  Well...maybe I could think of a few things that are worse...but you get the point!  lol

Brian is a scallop finding champion.  If it were an olympic sport - I believe he would qualify.  I had to post a picture of him in his Suckerfest shirt for Amy.

Back at the house the guys went out on the dock and cleaned the scallops.  I even cleaned some today - but the camera was banned!

Our friends (Matt and Amy - and their son Jack) came down to spend the day with us and Matt jumped right in and helped clean them.

Matt and Jack doing some fishing...

Jack is the cutest thing - full of personality - but easy going and fun to be around.

You won't believe this if you remember my last blog post about the river.  (alligators - big ones)  But...Matt and Jack went for a swim in the river.

My cousin Jessica informed me that she expected to be on my blog, so here she is!  :)  Thanks for coming Jessica!

I chose birthday pie instead of birthday cake - yummmmy key lime pie.
My granny also made a delicious pecan pie that we loved - that is where the "happy" is!.  :)

We went scalloping again this morning, and the water was as smooth as glass.

Sam (my brother) looking for a good place to stop.

Alex needed proof that she did indeed participate!

More scallops!  Anyone hungry?
