Saturday night Brian and I went to the Camellia Ball in Quitman. Not long after we got home we got a call that my granddaddy had died. He had severe alzheimers, so I am sad that he is gone but relieved that he doesn't have to endure the symptoms any longer.
The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. There are walks in more than 600 communities.
I started a Memory Walk Team with a goal of raising $2000 for the Valdosta Memory Walk. It will only take 100 people giving $20 to meet the goal. Please visit my Memory Walk Team page if you would like to make a donation.
